The Future of Panther Island: Preserving Fort Worth’s Historic Communities
As Panther Island transforms Fort Worth, there's an important question on the horizon: What will happen to the current residents of Northside and surrounding neighborhoods? The North Texas Community Foundation (NTCF), in collaboration with the Hispanic Chamber and city leaders, is working to ensure that local families are protected and supported as the area evolves. This includes proactive measures such as property tax freezes, infrastructure improvements, and other vital programs. The goal? To prevent the kind of displacement that occurred in West Dallas during the Trinity Groves development, where long-time residents were forced out by rising property values. We're committed to doing things the "Fort Worth way" - thoughtfully and with the support of the entire community.
Join us as we work together to ensure growth and opportunity for all.
