February Luncheon: Good-Natured: Preserving Fort Worth's Natural Heritage
How Collaboration Between the City of Fort Worth and Tarrant County Water District is Protecting Our Resources and Shaping the Future of Development
With Fort Worth's rapid expansion, the city is losing 50 acres of open space to development every week. To address this, the City of Fort Worth's Parks Department and the Tarrant County Water District are working together to safeguard the city's valuable green and blue spaces amidst exponential growth. Through initiatives like Mayor Mattie's Good-Natured program, the Riparian Area Initiative, and the Open Space Conservation Program, as well as partnerships with commercial real estate developers, Parks and TRWD are delivering environmental benefits and recreational opportunities that drive economic growth and enhance quality of life. Join us for an important discussion on how we can preserve Fort Worth's natural heritage while contributing to its future development.
